Exclusive Whitehaven: Breathtaking 7-Hour Beach Club Escape

We booked to go to Whitehaven. There was some engine trouble and need for more fuel. Things happen and we ended up being 2 hours later to arrive than scheduled. What was really outstanding was the care and service provided by the staff. They were apologetic and going above and beyond to try and make the experience still enjoyable. And it was. We ended up staying later and as a result had the whole beach to ourselves and watched a beautiful sunset on the ride home. Massive day for the staff but brilliant day for us. Thank you to the staff.

What an incredible experience! The skipper Riley was in total control the whole time and expertly navigated the vessel near whales so we could enjoy watching them breach. Alisha was fantastic at guiding the walk and providing safety briefings. Rodrigo was a master of managing the vessel and setting up lunch on whitehaven. Incredibly grateful to the team. What a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful relaxing day at the Whitehaven beach yesterday. The staff, especially Facu and Leo where very friendly and accommodating when we asked for a tent as the sun is rather strong during a long day at the beach. There are picknick possibilities in the shade at the beach which are also quite nice but we didn’t know that beforehand. We recommend the day tour with GSL not only because of the staff but it gives you about 4 plus hours at the beach. Enough time to wander to the southern outlook with a great view but also plenty of time to swim and relax at the beach.

We absolutely love Airlie Beach and it is like paradise on earth ! Well worth a visit and you will have an amazing time here.

We had an amazing time in Whitesunday Island and snorkeling in the reefs. The staff were friendly, very helpful and it was a perfect day! the kids also loved it!

The island was beautiful and the water and reef were amazing. The day was poorly run though through GSL. They had nothing organised properly the buffet lunch was not worth the money, no paddle boarding, we only had 10 at the most on the reef saying we had to leave early after we heard them say they were low on fuel. They had no moorings booked either. Very disappointing. We will be going back but not through GSL not worth the money would prefer to pay extra..

I regret that I cannot give this tour a good review. We did quite a lot of preplanning our trip to Airlie Beach for my wifes 60th Birthday including a trip to Whitehaven. We looked at many different options and deciced on GSL due to the inclusion of beach activities (Stand up paddle boards), umbrellas and seats and BBQ sausages for lunch. We took the snorkelling option and lunch option. Sadly we only received the transportation to Whitehaven the snorkelling and what can only be described as some cold cuts for lunch (in limited quantity). No umbrellas, no paddle boards and no sign of any hot food or a BBQ. We queried the crew and were told the Skipper had said it was too windy for the paddleboards. Ive got video of other companies utilising beach activities with no problem, it wasnt windy on the beach, we were sheltered by the Island. To be fair, before writing this, I contacted GSL to discuss with them and initially the contact was positive although they denied that any of the things we mentioned were included. I responded with screen shots of their booking system and other booking agents websites and since then other than to acknowledge what I sent them they have chosen not to respond again. It was very windy that week and we were cancelled on our chosen date by GSL (offered a flight alternative which we declined) and rebooked later in the week. On the later booked day it was still quite windy and some of our party expressed a desire to not go. We were told that cancellation/refund/alternative trip was not possible without 24 hours notice, so we went (used some Kwell). The email contact with the company suggested that we should have been given another option, we weren't. Sorry to say the experience did not match the advertising, consequently I could not recommend this tour.

We had a mixed experience on this tour. The crew were great and the buffet lunch was also good. Only 2 paddle boards and one rent up for shade on a very warm day. On the way home the boat engines were not working - had to do a very slow trip back into Airlie beach @11 knots. Took 2:30 hours instead on 1 hour. Might have been good if the crew had given out a free drink on the way back.

The Whitehaven Beach Club was a brilliantly organised day, friendly and helpful staff who provided complimentary activities on the beach such as paddle boarding and ball games. Even had been shelters for use. Offered fruit on the way back which was great. We didn’t pay for extra add on’s such as lunch, snorkelling or sea plane yet had a fantastic day on beautiful Whitehaven Beach and had plenty to keep us entertained. Thank you GSL!
